| The Rock is a third-generation
superstar with immeasurable athleticism--and cockiness to
boot! After graduating as an All-American football star
from the University of Miami, The Rock entered the World
Wrestling Federation and quickly became the
Intercontinental Champion. He rose ever higher, and
eventually became the second member to join Team
Corporate after winning the Federation Title -- under
dark circumstances -- in the final Tournament match at
the Survivor Series last November. Although he lost the
Championship to Mankind in late December, the Rock beat
the Deranged One in an "I Quit" Match at the
Royal Rumble. However, the Rock's Championship reign
would be brief. Several days after the Rumble, the Rock
lost the belt to Mankind in a rematch. It was held in an
empty arena. The Rock was undettered. He kept at Mankind
and eventually, with an assist to Paul Wight, beat
Mankind for the Championship in a Ladder Match on RAW one
day after the St. Valentine's Day Massacre on
Pay-Per-View. |
